If you missed your appearance:

You can attend a Redmond court session, appear at the Justice Court office located on the second floor of the Redmond City Hall, 411 SW 9th St., Suite 230, in Redmond or appear by letter within the 7 day grace period. After that time, a default judgment will be entered against you.
Beginning May 1, 2026, the court will no longer have an automatic 7-day grace period for arraignments. You are to appear on the date, time, and location listed on your citation. This is for both officer and photo enforcement issued citations. If you are unable to attend your arraignment date, you may contact the court to request a new arraignment date if it is within the 7-day grace period of your original first appearance date. First appearances may be reset one time only, and the new date shall be set within 3 weeks of the original appearance date. if you contact the court and it is after the 7-day grace period, and you would like the judge's consideration, you can only appear in writing. If you were originally cited into La Pine or Sisters for your court appearance, you would need to write a letter to the judge to petition a new arraignment date for the upcoming La Pine or Sisters court date. These are too far out for the clerk's authority to grant. If you need the services of the Spanish translator, provided by the court, the court clerk's have the authority to reset your arraignment to the next available interpreter night. A second request by a party to reset their appearance must be approved by the judge. After the 2- week grace period all citations, without an appearance, may be defaulted for Failure to Appear.
