Flat Fire evacuation notices

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office continues to update evacuation levels on the Flat Fire. Up to the minute information, including maps and evacuation areas, can be found at deschutes.org/emergency.

The Flat Fire Assistance Line is available daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at (541) 550-4888. Voicemails left outside these hours will be returned as soon as possible.

The American Red Cross has opened a shelter at Highland Baptist Church, 3100 SW Highland Avenue, Redmond. The shelter is open 24 hours a day and provides a safe place for overnight stays, daytime drop-ins, meals, and additional resources.

Recreational vehicle (RV) owners can park in the paved parking lot of the Deschutes County Fair and Expo Center through Tuesday, Aug. 26. 

Jefferson County Fairgrounds is available for large animals. Owners must be on site to provide care.
