Weekly Road Constructiion Update - June 15 to June 21

Projects Administered by Deschutes County:

Local Road Pavement Preservation (Bend Area) – Crews will be installing asphalt pavement on the following roadways:

• Arrow Ave
• Obsidian Ave
• Rincon Ave
• Somerset Dr
• Tomahawk St
• Wickiup Rd
• Rastovich Rd

Traffic Information – There will be temporary roadway closures lasting approximately four hours within the work areas. Affected property owners will be notified of closures in advance. Road users should also expect single-lane closures facilitated by flaggers and delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday through Friday. 

Chip Seal (Bend Area) – Deschutes County crews will be chip sealing the following roads (weather permitting):

• Nelson Road
• Butler Market Road
• Chaparrel Drive
• Cimmaron Drive
• Waugh Road
• Stenkamp Road
• Mcgrath Road
• Erickson Road

Traffic Information – Road users should expect single-lane closures facilitated by flaggers and delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours, 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Wednesday.

Paving of Powell Butte Highway & Nelson Road (Bend Area) – Crews will be applying roadway striping on Powell Butte Highway and Nelson Road.

Traffic Information – Road users should expect single-lane closures facilitated by flaggers and delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Projects Administered by Other Agencies:

Skyliners Road / Skyline Ranch Road Intersection Closure (City of Bend) – The intersection of Skyliners Road and Skyline Ranch Road will be closed for roundabout construction.

Traffic Information – Beginning on Monday June 16, Skyline Ranch Road will be closed to traffic at Skyliners Road. A signed detour route is in place for the duration of the closure.

Inquiries pertaining to this closure should be directed to the City of Bend Transportation and Mobility Department.

U.S. 97: Terrebonne (Oregon Department of Transportation) – Crews will be doing bridge work on Smith Rock Way and along U.S. 97.

Traffic Information – Lower Bridge Way is open to traffic allowing only right-in, right-out movements. Traffic bound for U.S. 97 North will continue to use the signed detour route along NW 19^th Street and NW Davidson Way.

Deschutes Market Road / Yeoman Road Intersection Closure (City of Bend) – Deschutes Market Road will be closed to traffic at the intersection with Yeoman Road for roundabout construction.

Traffic Information – Deschutes Market Road remains closed to traffic at Yeoman Road. A detour route is in place via Deschutes Market Road, Hamehook Road and Butler Market Road.

Inquiries pertaining to this closure should be directed to the City of Bend Transportation and Mobility Department.

China Hat Road & FS Road 1815 Closure (US Forest Service) – China Hat Road and Forest Service Road 1815 are both closed at the USFS Boundary for forest thinning work.

Traffic Information – China Hat Road and FS Road 1815 are closed to all traffic at the end of County maintenance. Access to the area is closed until further notice.
